Alex Puccio Continues Reign of Dominance at Vulcan Cup
The USAC Bouldering National Cup Series (NCS) continued with the Vulcan Cup Bouldering Competition held at the new High Point Climbing and Fitness in Birmingham, Alabama. Once again the biggest rock stars in the country showed up for the third round of the NCS.

Alex Puccio maintained her winning streak not only on the NCS tour but for bouldering competitions this season. She is currently 6 for 6 winning every comp she's competed in since being given the green light to climb after rehabbing from neck surgery in June. The win didn't come easy as Kyra Condie took second place missing the top of the podium by only six attempts. Rounding out the podium in third was Angie Payne who came out of "retirement" starting with Round 2 of the NCS in San Diego at the Mesa Rim ProAm.

It was an exciting finals round for the guys. Shawn Raboutou made his way back on the top of the podium after a fifth place finish at the Mesa Rim ProAm. In his first appearance on the NCS tour Daniel Woods took second place by only .4 points over Carlo Traversi.

As it stands both Alex Puccio and Shawn Raboutou are on top of the NCS National Rankings with only one more stop to go. On January 21st the NCS will wrap up with the fourth and final stop at the Dark Horse Bouldering Series Championship at MetroRock Climbing Center in Everett, MA.
